If you are one of those people who has a do-it-yourself mentality and likes the idea of a vintage-style machine with a modern look, then the Janome 712T Treadle Machine is the machine for you. Janome's 712T Treadle Machine allows you to sew with no electrical power, but it still comes equipped with all the standard functions a sewist needs. Ten stitches, a five-piece feed dog system, drop feed, snap-on presser feet, and a stitch selection dial are some of the fantastic features that are included in the 712T. Janome's 712T Treadle Machine has a flatbed design to fit existing sewing cabinetry. A treadle-operated sewing table (not included) is required to run the 712T.

    Stitches

    10 Built-in Stitches

Sew straight stitches, utility stitches, or a four-step buttonhole with the 712T Treadle machine. It has an easy-to-read stitch chart on the face plate with the corresponding stitch selection dial beside it.

    Bobbin Winder

    Bobbin Winder

Enjoy the convenience of a built-in bobbin winder on this treadle machine. You can keep multiple bobbins on hand, so you have the perfect thread color for every project! Winding bobbins on the 712T differ slightly from your typical machine. You will need to turn the stop motion knob counterclockwise to disengage the clutch so you can fill your bobbin. Pedal the machine and wind the thread until the bobbin is full. Once finished, turn the stop motion knob clockwise to re-engage the clutch, and you are ready to go. *The machine will not sew until the stop motion knob is tightened.

    Manual Tension

    Manual Tension

Manual tension dials give you greater control of your stitches. The setting dial is easily adjusted to create a perfectly balanced stitch based on your fabric type and weight. Ranging from zero to nine on the knob, these lines allow quilters to dial in their tension settings incrementally. If the bobbin thread appears on the right side of your fabric, then the needle tension is too tight, and if your needle thread is too loose, it will appear on the wrong side of the material.

    Extra High Presser Foot Lift

    Extra High Presser Foot Lift

The extra-high presser foot lift can accommodate the heavy fabrics and multiple layers that standard home sewing machines struggle to sew. Sew multiple layers of denim, heavy fleece, and thick quilts with ease. It can be raised approximately 1/4" higher than a normal position.

    Needle Plate

Needle Plate & Top Loading Bobbin

With the top-loading, drop-in bobbin on the 712T, you can smoothly and quickly change out your bobbin without losing too much time. Use class 15 plastic bobbins with this machine for the best possible sewing experience. A clear cover plate is paired with the top-loading bobbin so you can manually monitor your bobbin thread levels. The metal needle plate has built-in measurements, so you can get that perfect quarter seam.

    Reverse Lever

    Reverse Lever

Use the reverse stitch button to secure your stitches. This feature is excellent at preventing your ends from fraying or unraveling. To use this button, hold down the reverse stitch lever, and your machine will sew in reverse and reinforce your stitches.

    Stitch Lenght

Adjustable Stitch Length & Drop Feed

With the stitch length dial on the front, you can select the most suitable stitch length for most fabrics. You can even sew stretch stitches by turning the dial to S.S. Remember, the higher the number, the longer the stitch length. The 712T has a maximum stitch length of 4mm. Lower your feed dogs by turning the dial to to the woven fabric symbol.

    Reverse Lever

    Easy Threading

With its printed thread guides, you can easily thread this machine in seconds.

Want high quality and affordability? Look no further than the Serger / Overlock machine of your dreams: Janome 8002D. As a Janome product, you know you are getting the best of the best: a machine that will last for generations. The 8002D Serger is ideal for beginners or those upgrading from an older model. This may seem like a basic serger, but you will sew beautiful 4-thread Overlock stitches and 3-thread Rolled Hems with confidence and precision. You can serge anything from the sheerest chiffon to the thickest wool. Sewing knits is easier and more secure with a serger. We know you will love everything about the Janome 8002D Serger machine.

    3-Thread and 4-Thread Capability

This means you can complete 3-thread and 4-thread Overlock stitches as well as Flatlock stitches and Rolled Hems. You can even do a Blind Hem and create lettuce edges.

    Built-in Threading Chart

Skip the headache and serge confidently, knowing there is a built-in threading chart. No need to constantly refer to the manual. These diagrams are easy to read and color-coded.

    Changeable Thread Guide

This feature ensures the ability to customize hems and decorative edges. Adjust the tension setting of any needle or looper to fit the fabric type, stitch type, or thread type.

    Adjustable Cutting Width

Do you want a bold statement hem or a dainty narrow hem? With the 8002D, your edges can be finished at any width between 3.0 to 5.0 mm from the right needle position, depending upon your sewing needs or the fabric being used.

    ADJUSTABLE DIFFERENTIAL FEED

ADJUSTABLE DIFFERENTIAL FEED & Stitch Length

Even with stretchy fabrics like knits and georgettes, you can easily create professional-level finishes by adjusting the differential feed. This feature allows you to fine-tune how the material is fed through your machine and helps to prevent puckering or distorting. It works by making the front and rear feed dogs move at different speeds. Set the dial to 1.0 for regular sewing, lower numbers for fine fabrics, and higher numbers for stretchy fabrics.

    Adjustable Foot Pressure

Not all fabric is serged with the same foot pressure, and with the ability to serge up to 1300 stitches per minute the adjustable foot pressure is a game changer. With the 8002D, pressure can be easily adjusted for smoother feeding.

    Quick Change Rolled Hem

Rolled hems are one of the best features a serger has to offer. Save time by quickly converting from an Overlock stitch to a Rolled Hem and back to an Overlock stitch again!

    Top Loading Bobbin

    Top Loading Bobbin

With a top-loading bobbin case, you just drop your bobbin in and go! That means more time and less frustration getting your machine ready to sew. The clear bobbin cover allows you to monitor your thread and easily install and uninstall your bobbin.

    Snap-on Presser Feet

    Free Arm

    Free Arm

Enjoy the convenience of free-arm sewing on the Janome 721S. Remove the built-in storage unit to modify the sewing bed into a free-arm sewing machine, making cuffs, hems, and circular projects more accessible. The detachable sewing bed doubles as storage space for accessories.

    Sewing Light

    Sewing Light

Above the needle is your sewing light. This bright bulb illuminates your sewing area, meaning you won't have to strain your eyes, and you'll never miss a stitch.

    Four Piece Feed Dog

The feed dog is located below the needle plate and moves in sync with your presser foot to feed the fabric through the machine. Janome's four-piece feed dog ensures a more consistent fabric feed, keeping layers from shifting as you sew.

    Foot Pressure Adjustment

    Foot Pressure Adjustment

By turning the foot pressure dial, you can adjust the pressure of your presser foot. The foot pressure dial should be set at 3 for regular sewing. Reduce the pressure to 2 for appliqué, cutwork, drawn work, and basting. Set the setting mark at 1 when sewing chiffon, lace, organdy, and other fine fabrics.

    Extra-High Presser Foot Lift

The 721S features an Extra-High Presser Foot Lifter. You can raise the presser foot about 1/4" (0.6 cm) higher than the normal up position. This extra lift makes it easier to sew layers of thick or heavy fabrics like denim or quilt sandwiches.
